Spencer Coatings Limited have been enjoying strong sales growth with our Acothane polyurethane systems in Russia. With the high price of oil and increasing demand for oil and gas, the large Russian pipeline network is undergoing significant refurbishment and Acothane is the ideal product. Our principal customer is GAZPROM the state owned gas company which controls over 180,000 kms. of pipeline. Major refurbishment projects are being undertaken on pipelines and compressor stations using Acothane sprayed in-situ at 1500 microns after the existing coating systems have been removed and the steel surfaces cleaned.
Business is expected to further increase over the next few years and Spencer Coatings Limited are considering a number of strategic options that will enable us to fully exploit the opportunities in Russia.
